I got this in my email a few days ago:
Hello. First, I love Snakes On a Plane. I do So much that it has become the subject of a 5 paragraph persuasive writing piece im doing in my english class. I need to Know Why Snakes on a plane is so awsome! I Have 3 reasons.
- because sam jackson is in it
- because people like the people at SOAB played a big part in the film (like advertising) and
- Because it has the ultimate villain SNAKES!!
The Hard part about it from here is finding reasons why those resons made this movie awsome? Well Ill get to the point. Im not asking you to write my whole essay. But if it wouldnt be to much trouble oculd you supply me with some information thats goes with these reasons that might help me in my quest for an A. Thank you for your time and I hope to here from you.
Anybody feel up to helping him out?

1. Samuel L. Jackson has been in more movies than anyone else (check on this) and is a diverse actor whos talents have been exemplified in movies of most every genre - he is basically the perfect actor for he role due to his track record. As well he is nontheless suited for this mixed genre (action, comedy, horror) movie. Site examples like Jurrasic Park as horror, even Start Wars, Pulp Fiction etc.
2. Watching movies is basically a social experience, and the enthusiastic cult following of Snakes on a Plane is unlike any other, and so being part of such an audience only adds to the experience in ways no other movie can. Its opening weekend was an experience unrivaled by any other movie; Its following predominantly grew even before the movie was ever released. Even just renting the movie lends itself to a sense of good humored familiarity and community, like all cult movies.
3. Snakes are the pefect villains because of their history as enemies. In movies, they classically appeared in Indiana Jones, but in general snakes are probably the most feared animal ever, more than any other. More animal deaths than any other are due to snakes every year (check on this), and their many various types of poisons are among the deadliest in the world. They are mystically regarded in ancient cultures such a Egypt, and even in the Bible the first evil to ever approach humanity is a serpent, tempting Adam and Eve.
