Snakes on a TI-89
October 10th, 2006 at 4:35 pm

Back in my day we used a TI-81 without all these fancy-pants features like the ability to run software downloaded from the internet. When I was in high school we had to write our own stupid BASIC choose-your-own-adventure programs. I don’t know if I can take much stock in this new, downloadable bunko. I tend to think it’s going to lead to the pornographication of the calculator.

Anyway, an officemate of my old roommate wrote in to point out this:

Snakes on an XY plane
Snakes on an XY Plane

It, cleverly:

Draws random snakes on the xy-plane. This program takes one argument, n, to indicate how many snakes to draw.

You can download the .zip file from the linked site, or mirrored locally.

When any of you recieved your snake prizes during the many contest that new line had did any of the following occur to you:

Logo coming off the shirt?
Missing items that were promised?
Bent or torn posters without damage to tube?
Missing letters on front of hat?

Or any other problems?

Let newline know if you have had any of these problems.

Because even though there are blogs about bad, missing or damaged items New Line says that no one has reported them.

Hey
I was a big follower of your site this summer and forgot about my regular visits. Today, I was checking out the “best week ever” blog and was subsequently excited and nostalgic to see “Snakes on a Blog” linked to. However, the link does not acutally go to your site, despite what it says. Are you also the author of the kind of sad site http://snakesgotablog.blogspot.com/ ?

Comment by Shannon — October 12, 2006 @ 9:45 pm

No, that’s not my site. I don’t know who owns that OTHER snakes blog site.

Best Week Ever should know better. Actually, I’m a little bit disappointed that they never featured anything about this site on their show over the summer… I guess it didn’t quite rate. I thought it was right up their alley.

Also, Snakes at a New Line, get in touch with me via the contact link above and give me more details about what you’re talking about.

America: #1 in the world in confusing calculator technology.

Here’s a picture of the expensive calculator in question.
