Snakes on a Blog
Snakes on a Prediction

CrazyMonk was kind enough to find an email that I wrote on January 9th, just three days before officially launching Snakes on a Blog.  Sitting here in Hollywood on the eve of the premiere, it seems pretty prescient:

On 1/9/06, Brian <@> wrote:

I’m thinking about making a blog about my journeys surrounding Snakes on a Plane.  My attempts to go to the Snakes on a Plane premiere is exactly the sort of thing the blogosphere needs.

Brian

The really embarassing part is that I used the word “blogosphere.”

Every great journey starts with but one little blog. Be proud of your work, friend. We sure are. :)

i hate blogs, and bloggers for the most part, 1/2 emo, other 1/2 just confused about life, and my math may be shitty, but another 3/4 just can’t seem to say the things they want to say without a keyboard in front of their face and people reading from a monitor instead of reading their lips. you however, make me want to blog, and even though i won’t be doing that, thats an impressive feat. congratulations on the premiere, you have utilized all these tools and even non-tools like myself to get you to where you are now. stay bad, i will too.

Really makes me believe that *anything* is possible.

I gotta know… did you really (deep in your gut, completely and honestly) think that you would meet The Man, and actually get tickets to the premiere?

Well I believe Samuel L Jackson used that very word last night on the daily show. So you’re as cool as Mr. Jackson…in a way…a small way…but definitely a way.

Very cool.

It’s official: God wants me to see this movie.

Everyday I get “Sayings of Jesus” emailed to me, and this was today’s verse–TODAY, mind you:

From Mark 16:15-18

15) And he said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16) He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17) And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18) THEY WILL PICK UP SERPENTS, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

So I gotta go pick up some serpents tonight at 10pm!! WOOHOO!! Praise the LORD!!! ;-)
