Snakes on a British Rating
August 14th, 2006 at 1:12 pm

Snakes on a Plane has been rated 15 by the BBFC (the British version of the MPAA):

Snakes on a Plane is rated 15 for “strong language, sex and bloody violence”. A 15 rating over here is roughly equivalent to most of R-rated films these days.

Also the above linked site mentions that the British version of the film weighed in at 105 minutes, 13 seconds. Does somebody want to calculate the SPMs (Snakes per Minute) of this movie?

Brian, the snakes show up around 15 minutes in, add in 5 minutes of end credits so that means 85 minutes of snake madness, and with 500 snakes that is 5.88 snakes a minute

I may need to bring a book to the theater to keep myself occupied for those first 15 minutes.

I was going to start a drinking game where every time a snake showed up on screen people were going to take a drink. But 5.88 drinks a minute might be a bit excessive!
