Everybody is looking for plugs lately. This is probably what it feels like to have a popular webpage, eh? Here’s a couple:

… I am a representative of New Line Cinemas in the New Orleans area. On Saturday, August 12th we are throwing a SOAP bar crawl down a popular street, complete with Sam Jackson look-alike contest and many prizes and giveaways. We were wondering if you could post about the bar crawl on your blog, so New Orleans fans of SOAP can see information about the bar crawl. If this is possible, please write me back as soon as possible, so i can either send you the information or a .jpeg of the flyer.
I’m an audience co-ordinator for the CBS Early Show. I was just
wondering if you could post the information that Sam Jackson is coming down to our show to do an interview on Monday, August 14 to promote Snakes On A Plane. The interview will be outdoors on our plaza at 59th and 5th and all are welcome to attend. It is recommended that they show up at about 7:30 a.m. if they would like to attend the show. If not, the interview will be done at about 9:15. If they do attend the show, we have free breakfast and posterboard and markers for everyone.

Brian this has nothing to do with the topic at hand but it was mentioned somewhere before on this Web site that SoaP would have a 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17 showing, my local theater knows nothing of any 10 p.m. and/or midnight showings. Is this only for a select few theaters? Has new line not alerted the theaters yet or will there simply be no early showings?

why aren’t you charging these orginazations? you’re providing free publicity for their shows and events (not SoaP), not saying you should be greedy, but man you gotta eat, and pay for all those SoaP tickets you’ll be purchasing.

He’s in COLLEGE–of COURSE he’s broke!!

I’d go to NYC for that, but hey, I gotta work so I can pay for opening day tickets! :) Besides, you know they ain’t gonna show a sign on TV that has “M-F’er” on it. :p

FYI - The Empire theater near Times Square will have Snakes at 10 and midnight on Thursday. I called them last night to let them know that Damnation and everyone in NYC will be there. Well yeah that’s NYC, you have to figure they would have 10/midnight showings, but I’m down here in Florida. Someone has got to know if there are nationwide early showings and not just in the NY/LA areas

Did anyone tape this today???? I couldn’t because my mom HAS to have her soap opera’s taped everyday, and NO we don’t have TiVo–we’re lucky we have Internet! I wanna see this!! Maybe it’s on YouTube???
