Snakes on a Birth?
July 24th, 2006 at 3:22 pm

I arrived home from Comic-Con last night, and I still have a bunch of videos to post but I’ll be getting to those over the next few days. If you haven’t done so already, check out IGN’s streaming video of the fantastic Q&A (featuring questions submitted to this site as asked by Kenan Thompson) or this non-streaming quicktime version. Also, Crazymonk joined me at some of the events, you can check out his coverage of Comic-Con.

However, to pass the time until I get the new videos online, if you’re in the mood for something completely COMPLETELY different, you can check out the following video. It takes the Snakes on a Plane phenomenom in directions that nobody could have anticipated. Seriously, nobody:

Favorite parts of the interview:

Sam Jackson yelling “Buy a ticket mother fucker!” to the guy that asked how the snakes got on the plane

so is that a video for, or against, home birth? I’m confused!

Comment by checkyaself — July 24, 2006 @ 9:58 pm

That was certainly different…

I spotted SoaP posters today–4 of them. I’m going to see about getting a picture of myself next to them. If no one steals them, anyway.

There is a giant banner outside my local theatre. It must be 3 stories tall. Its basically the teaser poster but i still want it.

Home birth + Snakes? Who do these people think they are?

Is it just me, or does that video have no sound?

Ooops, sorry, the computer was muted. :-p

Sunday coming home from church, I almost ran off the road when I passed a giant “SoaP” poster on a bus stop. It looks like the classic one with the black background, only at the top, it says “Sit Back. Relax. Enjoy the Fright.” in “SoaP” font, and of course all that good detailed movie info at the bottom. I turned around and took a picture with my crappy cellphone camera, but you can’t hardly see it. I’ll have to go back with my real camera for a decent shot. Then come back in the night with my “tools”. ;-)

[...] Matt previously gave us the pictures of the Kindergartners as well as the recent Snakes on  a Home Birth video, and he’s back with a little bit more.  One of his students is apparently a talented singer/songwriter/armpit fart artist.  I’m not really sure how else to introduce this one: Jack sings SOAP and plays the armpit fart [...]

I find it amazing that NO ONE is commenting on this video!!! I mean come on, you’ve got live birth, a drunken mother, an out of control father and SNAKES! All the elements of a classic comedy! I think it’s brilliant. Bravo Matt and Heather!

Oh, and Heather, I used to joke with Matt that I was the coolest chic he knew, but clearly you win. There’s no way in hell I would have let Matt anywhere near me in this situation. You rock!

Actually checkyaself, it’s a film about TRYING to inflict baby damage as a means to speeding up cell mutation in our evolutionary process. We believe that the damage should be inflicted as close to birth as possible. We want the X-MEN to become a reality ASAP! For more on these types of theories, read the book GEEK LOVE by Katherine Dunne.

If you watch the last scene closely, you can see the newborn preparing to attack the cobra right before the snake bites her face. Drinking beer, giving her second hand smoke, and dropping snakes on her as she came into the world gave her the mutant ability of, Wolverine like, fangs that shoot out of her gums and inject villains with a deadly dose of nicotine and Everclear.

Does that make the mother in the film Arturo from GEEK LOVE?

Comment by Asphole — August 1, 2006 @ 12:50 am

LOL Asphole! Maybe they should change his name in GEEK LOVE to….Arturo L. Jackson MOTHER FUCKER!

[...] Matt Barr has put out quite a collection of Snakes on a Plane items. He wrote a song, he took the famous kindergartner pictures, he entered a contest, he created Snakes on a Home Birth and now he’s completed what I assume to be his final project before the release of the film. He, along with his class, have filmed: [...]
