Snakes on a New Poster
July 1st, 2006 at 10:23 am

Noobles is on a roll today, he provided us with the odd Wayans brothers/David Spade video below, but he also sent in two low quality images of a new poster?.I haven’t seen this anywhere else, but it looks quasi-legit. Is this the new, non-teaser poster?

UPDATE Posted at 4:17pm: Higher quality photos:

SoaP_poster_large.jpg SoaP_poster_small.jpg

And a few people have written in to say that these are indeed legit and have been going up in theaters around the country.

Maybe it is because of the quality, but I’m seeing a definate lack of snakes.

yeah, i work at an amstar theater. it’s legit.

had to put it up in the lightbox the other night. i love the tag… something along the lines of

take a seat, buckle up, have a nice fright.

us employees have a bid on who gets it after the movie comes out :)

All hail the cheesy tag line!!! They need to do multiple posters with the worst awfully cheesy tag lines…

Mr Director man, since I know you read this blog….please, for the love of all that is holy….use the following tag line at some point…

One Man…
One Plane…
Lots of Snakes

My tagline from my trailer:

“This summer, fly the deadly skies.”

Comment by pepeeg — July 1, 2006 @ 1:16 pm

“The plane is clear for death!”

Yeah I want to see more snakes. Great tag line though. I agree with the multiple posters idea with multiple cheesy tag lines. :)

I just learned that Sammy J. AND David Ellis are going to be at the San Diego Comic-con on the 21st for a pannel discussion on SoaP! Better yet, I’m going to be there to see it! Ha!

I think that there should be more snakes on that poster. I mean, really. The only snake I see is around that Troy guy.

Comment by Cheezer — July 1, 2006 @ 5:37 pm

“Asseyez-vous, detendez-vous, et profitez l’effroi”

Actually, “enjoy the fright” would be “appréciez l’effroi”, but what do I know?

Comment by Armitage112 — July 1, 2006 @ 6:43 pm

Surely the French tagline makes no sense since the words for “fright” and “flight” are completely different…?

Sweet Samuel L in heaven, I want one of these new posters.

Anyone have one they want to donate? I’ll pay postage!

Comment by pepeeg — July 2, 2006 @ 3:07 am

There is a very obvious lack of snakes on this new poster.
I also love how, before the update, whoever submitted the first picture just HAD to include an enlarged portion including Samuel L. Jackson’s head. Ya know, to clear up any confusion as to who we thought that man was.

This poster WILL be hanging over my bed

Comment by BojacRedleif — July 2, 2006 @ 8:15 am

I think this is a “Where’s Waldo?” type of thing, except instead of Waldo, they have snakes. I mean, really, I could only spot one snake.

Comment by Cheezer — July 2, 2006 @ 2:20 pm

this poster kicks ASS. i need one.

Comment by Andrew — July 2, 2006 @ 3:50 pm

I think the face Samuel L has is even better than the one that is posted on the parody posters…he has that looks that just screams “Bad Motherfcuker”

Ok people…start working…

Comment by hehateme — July 3, 2006 @ 10:47 pm

Ok, I’ve never heard about this movie before and this poster is supposed to tell me what it’s about? Sorry, I don’t pay $8 to see be movies.

Comment by BDK — July 4, 2006 @ 12:08 pm

don’t you mean b movies?

Comment by irrelivent — July 4, 2006 @ 12:21 pm

BDK–you see scared people, you see Samuel L. Jackson ready to kick A, you see the title–”Snakes on a Plane”–what’s NOT to know???
