Jim, that’s a book a guy named David Waldon has been working on for a month or two. He’s talked to a lot of people online about it (including me) and is scheduled to release it in early August. It’s basically going to be a lot of the photoshops and comics that people have put together collected into one work.

Yeah, I saw the book in the local Borders this Thursday. I was going to buy it, but I didn’t want it to give away the ending, so instead I bought A Scanner Darkly. Good book, and I’m allmost done with it, too (40 pages left!) so I think I’ll go ahead and buy SoaP next time I’m around, just for the sake of buying it. I just won’t read anymore than two chapters, until I see the movie.

And, in case any of you guys were wondering, A Scanner Darkly is a 70’s drug novel by Philip K. Dick, about an undercover Narcotics officer, who by day is a regular drugee, but the drug he is addicted to (called Substance D) has split his brain into two competing hemespheres, so he basically becomes two different personalities, and he ends up narcing on himself. It’s really kind of hard to explain, but it is really interesting. And is full of dark humor. They just made a movie adaptation that’s coming out soon (hopefully not on August 18th) that looks really cool. The website is http://www.scannerdarklymovie.com. Watch the trailer, its crazy. Uh, I have a plot question. So the surfer is on this plane from Hawai’i to LA. And some evildoer puts snakes on the plane (yikes!) to get him.
But!! there are no snakes in Hawai’i. Anyone who has been there knows that. US & Hawai’ian customs agents keep them out. So how do the snakes get on the plane in Hawai’i?
Just curious.

Duh. If u knew anything about anyhting you’d know that te snakes are from foreign countries. So that they can’t get a vaccine quick enough after the plane lands. It’s on the website.
