Snakes on a Contest II Winner
June 20th, 2006 at 7:06 pm

After a week of furious voting, we have our winner. It was a close contest, but in the end the best Snakes on a Plane related photo was:

slantyhouse21.jpg

This picture, elegantly titled slantythouse2.jpg, was your favorite, closely eeking out the monkey. As promised, the winner of this contest will receive a copy of the teaser poster, a shirt of the winner’s choice from either ShelfLife’s CafePress store or Damnation’s store, and a limited edition bracelet from Goods For Giving with Snakesonaplaniac imprinted. The winner of this contest is:

Max Pacheco

Congratulations Max. You are, however, expected to send in a picture of yourself wearing your chosen shirt and bracelet while standing in front of your poster. Come on, IQpierce did it.

In commemoration of this occasion, Damnation was kind enough to produce a special edition shirt with a limited printing of only one. This shirt will be completely unique and only available to Max:

And, since I’m sure you’re curious, here were all the submissions. I admit, this contest was not as wildly popular as I had hoped.

Any suggestions for the next contest? Perhaps suggestions that will engender a little bit more participation? I’m willing to admit I’m not brilliant in this area.

Next contest could be everyone’s plans for regional SoaP viewing plans on August 18 — the best, funniest, most creative ways people plan to go see the movie… and then we could actually organize and do it?

I think that you should have another song contest, since tagworld doesn’t seem to want to select a winner for theirs.

I think you should just award the prizes to me for being your mother.

How about a SoaP2 contest? The entries have to be full right-ups on a possible sequel. I’ve already written mine!

I say that only because I wrote one about a month ago. (Needless to say I was bored.) It’s entitled SNAKES ON THE WHITE HOUSE. No one steal it!

[...] As you can see, the copy I got is in black and white, one-sided and spiral bound, but it’s enough to indicate the scale of the book. David Waldon apparently managed to interview pretty much anyone who’s done anything having to do with Snakes on a Plane including, but not limited to, Me, Snakes on a LiveJournal Blog, Jeff Rowland, Sticknstein, both contest winners, Damnation Inc., DCLugi, Subatomic Warp, Matt Barr, ShelfLife and many more (and he managed to get pictures of all of them). It’s actually pretty neat to see everyone collected in one place. [...]

[...] Unlike the last contests, you don’t have to do anything to win it. Well, not much. This requires no talent, no abilities, just love. Just post your name in the comments below. That’s it. It doesn’t even have to be your real name. After a few days I’ll throw the names into a hat and pick one at random to be the winner. [...]

[...] Matt Barr has put out quite a collection of Snakes on a Plane items. He wrote a song, he took the famous kindergartner pictures, he entered a contest, he created Snakes on a Home Birth and now he’s completed what I assume to be his final project before the release of the film. He, along with his class, have filmed: [...]

Snakes on a What?
Snakes on a Blog documents my quest to attend the Hollywood premiere of Snakes on a Plane. If I'm really lucky, this blog will do more than just document the quest, it will aid it. Read my first and second pleas.
