Snakes on a Teaser Trailer
May 30th, 2006 at 1:06 am

It doesn’t have any new footage, but it’s a got a simplicity that I really like. They’ve been doing a good job in Hollywood. I was told they were going to be putting the trailer online this week, I wonder if this is what they meant?

You can also watch it on YouTube if you don’t like .avi files.

I’ll be flying and then moving all day tomorrow and I’ll be living on couches for two days after that, so I’ll be out of touch for a while. While you’re here, check out Fan Art, Fan Songs, Fan Comics, Fan Clothing and Fan Videos.

awesome, wish i’d seen that with X3. i am pissed that the whole audience didn’t freak out and burn the city down once they saw “snakes on a plane” on the screen though.

Comment by dasad assda — May 30, 2006 @ 1:54 am

shame it was a recording that didn’t have cheering on it.

now i want someone to record and send one wih cheering, it could be a fun competition. slighty illegal but fun.

Comment by capone — May 30, 2006 @ 2:03 am

OMFG such brilliance!!!!!!!
If it had Wagner’s O Fortuna playing as the music, the universe wold have imploded from awesomeness!!!!

Damn this film is gonna rock

Comment by Snakes in Europe — May 30, 2006 @ 2:14 am

At the theatre I was in, the whole crowd erupted in applause when it came on screen.

There is no doubt in my mind that it will hit #1 in the Box Office. There is no competition whatsoever in the weeks surrounding it.

Time to make some bets!

When I saw this before X-Men 3 Monday, I was the only one in the audience to have an audible reaction. However, I was in Kansas, so that may have been a factor.

Comment by hardcle — May 30, 2006 @ 3:43 am

There was reaction when people saw it here in Columbus, Ohio, but most of it was ZOMG what is that?

And I’m the one clapping and cheering much to the chagrin of my party. ROFL

Comment by chaoticpix93 — May 30, 2006 @ 7:20 am

We went to see “X-Men 3″ a second time on Monday–A. for the trailer, and B. ’cause we loved the flick! You could have cut the silence with a knife after the “SoaP” trailer that day–THAT was a sad scene. :-(

Comment by Armitage112 — May 30, 2006 @ 9:18 am

Those who know not of SoaP are infidels!!!!!!!!!

Comment by Snakes in Europe — May 30, 2006 @ 10:55 am

Saw it in DC. The bulk of the theater cheered and hooted. A few of us started to get and were cheering before the snakes word came up.

Comment by S — May 30, 2006 @ 3:51 pm

I had to explain to my friends in Clearwater that there was a good chance we’d see the SoaP trailer at the X3 movie: Sadly, AMC Woodlands doesn’t seem to be getting the SoaP movie, those theater-owning BLASPHEMERS! Sadder still, I had to explain SoaP to them. That it was a movie… about snakes… on a plane… with Samuel MFing Jackson in it. I forgave them since they actually have social lives… :ducks: But the good news is, they have 3 snake-hunting cats who are keen on attending the movie when it comes out! ;)

Comment by Paul Wartenberg — May 30, 2006 @ 4:11 pm

I saw it in front of X-3 at the Chinese in Hollywood this past Friday night. The crowd went absolutely bananas. It was terrific.

Comment by The New Yorker — May 30, 2006 @ 7:53 pm

Anyone else having a problem clicking on the trailer link? I was able to see it at work earlier today, but now that I’m home I can’t get it. Did something happen, or is my home PC FUBAR?

Comment by Armitage112 — May 30, 2006 @ 9:53 pm

It depends on if you have the file type already downloaded onto your computer, I found. Because I clicked it and downloaded it (POS Windows didn’t have any information on the file for the media player) to my RealPlayer.

I keep watching it, and watching it. I wanna go see Xmen again, when it goes to the 50 cent movie theater because then, I’ll be able to see it several times over.

whee

[...] Snakes on a Teaser! If, like me, you’re one of those movie geeks who can’t wait to see “Snakes on a Plane,” then you should definitely be familiar with Snakes on a Blog by now. If not, now would be a good time to get acquainted, because the snake-obsessed fansite has posted the [url=”http://www.snakesonablog.com/2006/05/30/snakes-on-a-teaser-trailer/”]all-new… [...]

Yeah, it must be my loser home PC. I’m back at work and it still works fine here. Thanks! I can just see the IT guy tracking my PC usage–”WTF? Snakesonablog.com???”

Comment by Armitage112 — May 31, 2006 @ 9:06 am

You’ll be FLYING and moving?? shit, watch out for the Snakes on a Plane!!!!

Comment by Todd — May 31, 2006 @ 9:38 am

How the hell is this gonna be a “great” movie? I’m all for a good comedy movie, but this movie doesn’t even fall in the category of “funny”. I don’t care if Samuel L. Jackson is in this movie. It’s gonna SUCK. Why? All they’re basing the storyline on is, “There are snakes on this mufuggin plane”. Give. Me. A. Break. I’m definitely old enough to see this movie, but there’s NO way I’m paying money to see this crapfest. At best, this is a lameass movie that will be shown on late night TV when most people are sleeping. At worst, it’s a movie that should not have ever been made. Seriously.

Oh b ut don’t you get it? THat’s the beauty, that’s the irony that IS Snakes on a Plane man!

We know it’s gonna either be a total crtapftest or it’s going to be the best shiznit we’ve seen in ages. THe point was not that, ikt was the blazing simplicity of snakes… that are on… a plane…

Comment by chaoticpix93 — May 31, 2006 @ 11:25 am

It’s like the blacksploitation, creature features, and disaster movies of the 70’s all rolled into one. How can you go wrong? Really, they’ve made movies about killer worms and slugs before I think they can pull off a movie about SNAKES ON A MOTHERFUCKING PLANE!!!! (Just needs one added scene with Christopher Walkin — if I say it enough times it will happen.)

Comment by Shpoo — May 31, 2006 @ 12:24 pm

I’m getting a 404 error when I try to view it in Firefox, and a JavaScript error when I try to view it in IE6.

Comment by Gordon — May 31, 2006 @ 12:25 pm

I’m getting ERROR 404 too here at work, and it was fine an hour ago.

CRIPES!! We’ve been MADE!! :-p

Comment by Armitage112 — May 31, 2006 @ 12:33 pm

Sorry, that was my fault. I changed something, that messed up the link. It should be working now. Let me know if there’s any more problems.

Comment by Snakes on a Blog — May 31, 2006 @ 12:36 pm

I have recently found a letter informing people that snakes on a plane is actually a spoof film and that you should bring rubber snakes to the theatre and throw them into the crowd to scare them. Check it out at this link.

Comment by Mister Mans — May 31, 2006 @ 1:48 pm

PHEW!! That was CLOSE. ;-)

Anyone buying that “letter” about bringing rubber snakes to the theater? Does David R. Ellis have anything to say ’bout it??

Comment by Armitage112 — May 31, 2006 @ 1:59 pm

I don’t know about how real this letter is, but i do think that it’s a pretty good idea. It would be freaky to watch a movie about killer snakes and out of no where a snake lands in your lap.

Comment by KronikClown — May 31, 2006 @ 2:48 pm

Snakes in Europe: you moran… Carl Orff! Not Wagner. Wagner was dead 10 years before Orff was born. May snakes invade your plane.

Comment by snakes on an orff — May 31, 2006 @ 2:53 pm

He He Snakes in a theatre, sounds like a grand idea… I’m in!

Comment by Evilvibes — May 31, 2006 @ 3:34 pm

snakes on an orff:

While ‘O Fortuna’ from Carmina Burana is indeed by Orff, I’m not sure what you mean by “moran.” Perhaps you were attempting to call Snakes in Europe a MORON? Or are you a close friend making a play on Snakes in Europe’s surname, with which I am not acquainted?

To date, 14 different people have posted this exact clip to YouTube. None of them give this site credit. If you have no life (like me), you can watch each one and realize they are all the exact same one–the one from here. Posers. :p
