May 22nd, 2006 at 11:50 pm

I’ve gotten a few reports about the teaser posters actually appearing in theaters around the country, here’s the first picture I’ve seen of it:

soap lobby poster

That was from Berkeley, California, I just saw one up in Ann Arbor, Michigan (I’m travelling), where else has it been seen?

Update: Here’s some new pictures of posters from around the country… anybody take more?

my friends and i saw one in a theatre in state college, pa. we instantly spoke with the theatre manager to try to put money down to reserve it. Unfortunately, that goes against their “policy.” So they cant give it away or even sell it. I was snakes on a pissed off.

There is indeed a huge one in Toronto. We’re talking two-storeys on the side of the Queensway Cinema in the west side of town. You can see it from the highway (and I almost drove off the road this morning when I saw it).

I saw this one at the AMC Neshaminy 24, right outside of Philly.

Me in front of the one in the Times Square AMC theater.

You should do a gallery of people in front of them.

Valley Square 6, La Crosse, WI — we put it up immediately upon receipt and are considering adding a “Snakes on a Plane countdown” to our call-in movie line.

Comment by dranscht — May 24, 2006 @ 11:36 am

someone mentioned it already, but i snapped a pic of the one up at the AMC River East 21 in Chicago.

i think the guy on the bench was really confused as to why i was aiming my camera phone just past his shoulder and giggling giddily with my friend.

Comment by Snakes in Europe — May 25, 2006 @ 2:44 am

ATTN: Snakes in Europe–I KNEW I wouldn’t be the only one to notice that!

Comment by Armitage112 — May 25, 2006 @ 9:08 am

No they don’t! They’re crossing behind the plane too! The one in the back is the one with the tail behind the others tail. Follow the one in the back first (the one in the front confuses me at first). What you’re pointing to is an eye illusion…

Comment by chaoticpix93 — May 25, 2006 @ 7:35 pm

Saw it at my local theater (MegaMovies in the Brunswick Square Mall, East Brunswick, NJ) today when we saw “X-Men 3″–and yes, others agreed, the tails DO NOT MATCH the snakes!

How can I send my picture??

Comment by armitage112 — May 27, 2006 @ 5:50 pm

Scarborough Town Centre in Toronto has one!

Comment by Lana Laro — May 27, 2006 @ 7:08 pm

Comment by stormtroopercarlos — May 27, 2006 @ 10:51 pm

There’s a massive display at a theater nearby, in Fort Worth, TX.

Comment by Soup4Brains — May 28, 2006 @ 2:39 am

There’s one in Fairfield, CT. Probably in Bridgeport, too. As the (self-declared) official Connecticut representative of SoaP, I’ll try to find some more.

Comment by irellivent — May 28, 2006 @ 2:19 pm

OMFG we dont have any in europe!!!
I cant wait…June 22 I re-locate to Tampa..there has GOT to be SoaP posters there!!!!!

Comment by Snakes in Europe — May 29, 2006 @ 3:51 pm

I”m just waiting. So far all I’ve seen is the trailer. I’m going to go back to see some other movie and then I’ll get back to y’all on what I see. If I see anything. If so, I’ll make sure to borrow my boyfriends camera and take a pic (if we’re seeing a movie together) and so I’m going to SO post it here with a pic of me. WHEE!

SNAKES ON A PLANE!!!

And New line was afraid the hype would die down. We’re just starting I see. Especially with whatever snippliets they throw at us! OOO!

Comment by chaoticpix93 — May 29, 2006 @ 8:19 pm

I have recently found a letter informing people that snakes on a plane is actually a spoof film and that you should bring rubber snakes to the theatre and throw them into the crowd to scare them. Check it out at this link.
