AHHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU DIDN’T FRAME IT?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU PUT TACKS IN IT!

Comment by BojacRedleif — May 2, 2006 @ 7:53 pm

Ha, I got a big stack of them, that was only the first one to go up. It will be followed by a deluge of posters in a variety of forms. I’m sure at least a few of them will get framed. Maybe I’ll even get some laminated.

In fact, now that I have them, I’m going to start holding contests to give them away.  It’ll be fun.

Comment by Snakes on a Blog — May 2, 2006 @ 7:55 pm

Awesome. I can’t wait to try to win one.

Comment by fishbulb42 — May 2, 2006 @ 11:55 pm

Weird that the title is only in the url at the bottom.

Comment by Sasfassassasas — May 2, 2006 @ 11:55 pm

I want oneee. Those are sah-weet.

And to Sas…etc, I think it’s pretty obvious, given the extremely well-made logo, what the title is. And if no one could tell, well they probably shouldn’t go see the movie. Haha.

Comment by Robin Lynne — May 3, 2006 @ 1:15 am

name your terms… i want to win one….

how about just give me one anyway for the video i made? :)

Comment by pepeeg — May 3, 2006 @ 3:49 am

I need on of those.

Comment by Geoff — May 3, 2006 @ 8:19 am

Yeah, they really should have put the actual title on it somewhere. I mean, the title is everything.

Comment by IQpierce — May 3, 2006 @ 9:06 am

Nah, no need to put the title more explicitly. I think the average viewer can divine the title from what is provided :)

Comment by Samual — May 3, 2006 @ 10:32 am

nice.

A whole stack?!?! meaning how many? 20? 25? 200?

Comment by Jason C. — May 3, 2006 @ 10:36 am

well no matter…..im waiting for you to start the contests. Must have poster.

Comment by Jason C. — May 3, 2006 @ 10:42 am

our theatre got a ton of snakes on a plane posters and banners this week too. we are being told to promote it heavily this weekend during the MI 3 release.

Comment by tricky martin — May 3, 2006 @ 11:09 am

You know…a poster for the nice guy who started the petition for you would be a great way to say THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment by Snakes in Europe — May 3, 2006 @ 11:33 am

They don’t NEED to put the title on the poster. That’s the beauty of the title itself - it’s so altogether simple. It’s the title, it’s the plot, it’s the concept, it’s the image. The image on the poster is of snakes on a plane. Printing the title would just be redundant. You look at the picture, and go “hey, it’s some snakes on a plane.”

So pretty!!! Hey Frank, I agree. Simplicity is best.

Comment by Sarah — May 3, 2006 @ 2:31 pm

I’d also like to add, I won’t hesitate to show my boobs if need be. $19.99?! That’s unSOAPlylike. Good Lord.

Comment by Robin Lynne — May 3, 2006 @ 4:32 pm

Hey Robin,

For a film of this caliber, our asking price of $19.99 is almost a steal. However, if you’re willing to show us your boobs we may be able to work something out :)

You all must have SNAKES ON YOUR WALL!

Cheers,
Derek the MovieGoods Guy

Moviegoods guy

your commercial pimping is against the spirit of this Web site… this is a place for SoaP nuts to commune freely… $19.95 for posters you got for free? No thanks — Now you’ve got your free-link-advertisement posted… why not send some posters to some Snakesonablog readers as a thank-you?

Comment by pepeeg — May 3, 2006 @ 7:05 pm

Commercialism is un SOAPlike? I think not. This isn’t snakes in a commune.

Comment by Saasssassas sasa — May 3, 2006 @ 8:38 pm

So you think we should just allow people to post spam on Soablog?

Comment by pepeeg — May 3, 2006 @ 11:08 pm

two posts is not spam, and that’s not what i was saying.

Comment by sssaaaaasaassas — May 3, 2006 @ 11:30 pm

Well folks, far be it from me to offend anyone who is excited about this movie as much as I am. To clear something up, we did not get these posters for free. I bought 300 of them and paid for them like any good capitalist. However, I’ve been in this business for 6 years now and I have NEVER been as excited about a movie or a poster as I was about Snakes on a Plane. I’ve staked my reputation in my office on this purchase and I am convinced that everyone needs to have this poster.

Will I or the company profit from this? Absolutely. Did the makers of the movie do so because they had nothing better to do? Is NLC releasing this movie out of the goodness of their heart? The answer is no. They are looking to make a profit on this movie just like anybody else.

Do not confuse my posting as merely a cash grab. My intentions are honourable as I am a HUGE fan of this movie and I will gasp my last breath promoting it. Now, if anybody has anything else to say, I’ll be sitting with my rubber snake on my desk anxiously waiting for the 18th of August.

By the way, I will offer free shipping to anyone on this blog who wants to purchase a SOAP poster off our website. Mention this blog or this post for the offer.

Alsoi it is just me or does Snakes on Planes, Trains, and Automobiles seem like a natural remake?

Long live Agent Flynn, and long live capitalism.

Cheers,
the MovieGoods Guy

Comment by Derek the MovieGoods Guy — May 4, 2006 @ 10:57 am

A whole stack means either 100 or 200, I can’t quite figure out how many are in each package.

I’m excited about it.

Comment by Snakes on a Blog — May 4, 2006 @ 11:33 am

OK, I’m a nitpick, and I’m really bored, so I’m studying the poster REALLY CAREFULLY–and I’m tracing the snakes as they’re wrapped around the plane. Has anyone else besides me noticed that they DON’T MATCH the tails?? If you follow each snake’s head, they BOTH end at the SAME TAIL.

I say, hurry up and grab these posters NOW, before someone else notices, recalls these, and prints new ones! :-p

Comment by Armitage112 — May 4, 2006 @ 2:46 pm

That’s a great catch, Armitage. I doubt they care, but I absolutely hadn’t noticed it.

Comment by Snakes on a Blog — May 4, 2006 @ 3:47 pm

To reddragon, if u post your address I will send u a signed poster. I love the ones u did. David R. Ellis director of Snakes

Comment by DAVID R. ELLIS — May 6, 2006 @ 9:08 pm

Actually, reddragon, you should probably email me your address and I’ll pass it along that way… it’s probably not TOO big of a problem, but I’m always wary of people posting their real addresses online. Use the Contact Snakes on a Blog link above.

Keep your blouse on, Robin Lynne–Armitage is a lady, and she don’t go that route. Thanks for the offer, though. ;-)

[...] As previously stated, the voting will be open until Tuesday, May 16th at Midnight EST. At the conclusion of the vote, the first submitter of the top vote-getter will win one teaser poster and one shirt of their choice from either the ShelfLife or Damnation shirt store. I’ve also added a prize: the folks at Goods for Giving will print up a series of wristbands with the winning name, one of which will go to the winner. [...]

[...] We’ve already seen two official poster releases (not counting French posters), now it seems like New Line has put out two more. The first I saw for the first time at Comic-Con and recently saw up at local movie theater. The second I haven’t seen anywhere in real life, but it’s apparently out on the streets: [...]
