Snakes on Actual Samuel L. Jackson Dialogue?
March 24th, 2006 at 9:59 am

This MP3 (thanks Ryan) (this version plays the dialogue at the right speed and sounds better) is purportedly from Samuel L. Jackson’s dialogue in the movie and includes some of the dialogue we heard in the non-trailer/trailer and expands upon it a little bit in each direction. If this is real, it seems like people are going to get what they want to hear.

And it seems as though reader Jim was correct in his analysis of the dialogue… good job on that.

Also, because of all the press in the last 24 hours I’ve gotten a ton of emails. If I haven’t answered yours or done anything with what you’ve sent me, feel free to send it again. I apologize, but I’m a little bit backlogged. Hopefully I’ll get to everything.

Let’s try posting this again without the whole, not posting it…

I give you:

Bam! And if it posts my original comment, I’ll feel pretty dumb. But that’s ok.

After further review, it sounds fake to me as well… Oh well, we’ll see.

Ditto that, sounds fake.

It sounds fake on that clip but if you speed up the audio, it sounds EXACTLY like Sam Jackson: http://www.sendspace.com/file/wx69xl

Sorry Robin, the computer thought your posts looked spam-esque so it blocked them until I got a chance to look at them. Hopefully it won’t happen again.

Ooh, Girl’s right…it does sound legitimate when sped up, as if the original mp3 got recorded at the wrong speed or something.

I’m not canned meat. I repeat, I am not canned meat. I just wanted to clear this up with everyone.

It’s him, the thing is, if you know anything about sound and have seen Pulp Fiction as many times as I have, you’ll notice that the speed on that recording is slow by maybe a half of a half a second or more. If you speed it up a bit it’ll sound perfectly like him…mother-fuckers!

Comment by Specter — March 26, 2006 @ 4:05 am

just set the sample rate to 48k and you’ve got it. Somebody somehow set it to 44.1 without resampling.

[...] A couple days ago I got this song in the mail. It’s a remixed version of the sound clip of Samuel L. Jackson from a few days ago. Enjoy. Mother Snakes by Juicer Junkie Mediatration [...]
