Snakes on the Web IV

First, unsurprisingly, Samuel L. Jackson has an official webpage. It has an interview on it from August which I haven’t seen before:

SamuelLJackson.com:
You also are just wrapping up on “Snakes on a Plane” Tell us a little bit about it.

Samuel L. Jackson:
Snakes on a Plane – it’s exactly what it sounds like. They changed the name to “Pacific Flight 121” But there seems to be a clamor for it to go back to “Snakes on a Plane” and I’m part of the “Snakes on a Plane” group that’s one of the reasons I took the job. I either want to see that movie or I don’t. Because that’s what it is. I’m an F.B.I. agent transporting a witness from Hawaii to Los Angeles. Who saw this big mobster who we have been trying to catch for years, murder somebody. And the guy puts a crate load of snakes on the plane that release when we are in the middle of the ocean, so we have to go on and these 3-400 snakes are getting loose on the plane – all over. And they are killing passengers. We’re trying to blockade and keep them in one place and they get through that place.

SamuelLJackson.com:
How many snakes did you say? 400?

Samuel L. Jackson:
Yeah 400. a one point the air bags deploy and snakes and the airbags come down and they are biting people in the face. It’s real crazy.

Snakes coming down in place of air masks and biting people in the face! That sounds GREAT! Ok, next, two quick MySpace pages:

[...] I’m still excited about the story describing people getting bitten in the face by snakes hanging down like oxygen masks. [...]

[...] Click on the image to make it readable.   We also have a second interview with Samuel L. Jackson from SamuelLJackson.com (see the first interview): I still do movies that I think are going to be fun. I do read scripts that are serious in tone that may or may not speak to some social issue but yeah, I’m still that guy that likes to go to the movies that sees myself in something that’s kind of mindless and exciting. Cause I don’t want to go to work every day and have to ruminate and have to deal with all these things about human frailties and all that stuff all year long. I’m not going to do a heavy movie all year long. I don’t make the conscious choice and say alright I have to do a big studio film that’s about nothing and I have to do a great independent film that’s kind of deep and now I want to do something that has social relevance. Things that come across my desk are things that come across my desk and as they are ready to go, I say “Ok I have that time and I’ll do them.” But I still want to do films like “Snakes on a Plane” that people just come to the movie and they’re just going to sit there and go “Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah!!!!!!” And they don’t have to worry about “what did he mean when he screamed like that”, you know. But there’s a snake there and it’s going to bite him. “Aghhhhhh!” I still like doing that stuff! So I’m not sitting around making, “while I’m older now and I need to mature a bit and I need to do something serious.” I know actors like that. [ [...]

Snakes on a Blog documents my quest to attend the Hollywood premiere of Snakes on a Plane. If I'm really lucky, this blog will do more than just document the quest, it will aid it. Read my first and second pleas.
