Everybody loved Subatomic Warp’s previous audio-trailer for Snakes on a Plane. Well this time they’ve written an actual song about everyone’s favorite film (well, apparently everyone but them):

SoaPSong by Subatomic Warp

“I like pleasure spiked with pain, but I’m not gonna go see Snakes on a Plane.” Aww, sad. Don’t let that get you down, though. The song is excellent.

All previous Fan Songs.

Here is the Snakes song I created….

Snakes on a Plane Theme Song (to the tune of Nirvana’s Something in the Way)

Underneath the cargo hold
The cage has sprung a leak
And the snakes I’ve trapped
Are all causing mayhem
Try to bite the witness
And theyre dropping from the ceiling
Just dont let them bite you
‘Cause they are filled with venom

(x3)
Snakes on a plane, hssss-hsss
Snakes on a plane, yeah, hssss-hsss

Underneath the cargo hold
The cage has sprung a leak
And the snakes I’ve trapped
Are all causing mayhem
Try to bite the witness
And theyre dropping from the ceiling
Just dont let them bite you
‘Cause they are filled with venom

(x4)
Snakes on a plane, hssss-hsss
Snakes on a plane, yeah, hssss-hsss

Snakes on the Plane
(Strangers in the night)
by Tim Winger
(Permission to use liberally and irreverently universally granted)

Snakes here on the plane.
There’s so much hissing.
Ureic acid smell;
From pants we’re pissing.
Who designed this hell?
And who here will survive?

Something slithered by;
So long and slimy.
And bit this British guy.
He hollered “Blimey!”
Was not a classy line;
But the best they could contrive.

Snakes here on the plane;
Phobias plenty;
There were Snakes here on the plane;
And we’re al dente;
And who will save our ass?
And will this crisis pass?
Before my buddy Sam, exclaims to,
“Get these fuckers off my plane !”

And we will stand the strain;
And band together;
Even though, predictably;
There’ll be bad weather.
And our Hero will survive;
The Snakes there on the plane.

Here’s my idea:

To the tune of “My Favorite Things”, from “The Sound of Music”:

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a plane, snakes on a plane

i am really bored at work, so i did this:

to be sang to the tune of guns n roses - sweet child of mine

SNAKES ON A PLANE

samuel l jackson is special to me
he reminds me of menace 2 society
when all our planes
flew snake-free in the bright blue sky
kenan thompson, what have you done with kel?
we thought you’d both be doomed for movie hell.
but i guess lucky for you
somebodys gotta help make these fuckin’ snakes fry

whoa-oh-oh-oh snakes on a plane
WHOAAA oh oh snakes on a plaaaane.

a quarter of snakes have venomous fangs
and are strong and limber
they only eat every 3 to 4 days
but you are gonna be dinner.
on this plane there is no safe place
snakes wanna eat your brain
i’d go hide behind mace windu ’cause
we’ve got snakes
on a motherfucking plaaaaane.

whoa-oh-oh-oh snakes on a plane
WHOAAA oh oh snakes on a plaaaane.

what do we do now
what do we do
what do we do now
whoaaa
snakes on a plaaaane.

I love Alex’s lyrics. I revised them a little to fit the 3-time rhythm of “My Favorite Things.”

Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane
Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane
Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane
Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane
Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane
Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane
Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane

Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane
Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane
Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane
Snakes on a, snakes on a, snakes on a plane

When the dog bits, when the bee stings, when I’m feeling sad,
I simply remember the snakes on a plane,
And then I don’t feel so bad

Comment by Abe — April 21, 2006 @ 3:06 pm

Sung to the tune of the John Denver classic…

‘Cause I’m leaving on a jet plane
I don’t know when I’ll be back again
‘Cause there are muthaf*ckin snakes on this muthaf*ckin jet plane, woah woah woah

ATTN: Tim M.–your wish is my command–I hope it suffices. ;-)

“Pacific Air 121″–to the tune of “MacArthur Park”

A witness to truly heinous crime
Has to go testify
So he boards an aer-o-plane
Protected, by Agent Neville Flynn
They both get settled in
Wish they coulda took the train

Pacific Air 121 took off
‘Cross the ocean, they were flying high!
Then someone let some snakes out on the plane
The situation may look dire
But relax, they’re first class flyers
And they’re off to bite the folks in coach, again!
Oh, no!

I recall when it was safe to fly
Up in the Friendly Skies
Among the clouds and sun
And now, there’s something slithering around my feet
And I’m hopin’ Jules Winnfield has brought his bad-ass gun (“Oh, I’m sorry, did I break your concentration?”)

Pacific Air 121 is screwed
All these friggin’ snakes are runnin’ wild!
Thank God Samuel L is on the plane
When he took that snake and whacked it
And Kenan looked like he would snack it
Then he zapped it with that tazer, fried its brain!
Oh, no!

[dramatic musical interlude here]

Pacific Air 121 is doomed
All these f-in snakes have got to go!
Who the hell brought snakes up on this plane??
All you passengers better get tough
And say “Enough is enough!
I’ve had with these f-in snakes!” again!!
Oh, no!
Oh, no
(hiss, hiss, rattle, rattle)
No, no
Oh no!!

Comment by Armitage112 — May 12, 2006 @ 12:22 am

here is my song

(to the tune of HEART IN A CAGE by THE STROKES)

SNAKES IN A PLANE

Well I don’t feel secure
When there are snakes on the ground
On a plane I feel better
Coz there are no snakes around
But it’s my location
That the mob have learned
It seems right now I’m safe
But then the snakes emerge

Oh the snakes feed in the plane

Please Samuel L. Jackson
Will you do what it takes
See I’m stuck in a plane
Filled with some snakes

And they will eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat,
Now the oxygen masks drop
And there are snakes instead

Oh the snakes feed in the plane

All the snakes they’re hissing at us
Jackson’s the only one I can trust
Samuel L. Jackson maybe can Help
Before there is nobody else left
The screaming of the passengers is incredibly loud
Guess everyone got afraid when the snakes were around

Oh, and they eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat, eat

And I’m hoping Samuel L. Jackson can kill those snakes
Or the snakes will feed in the plane
Yes the snakes feed in the plane
Oh No!

And the snakes feed in the plane

Someone wanted a SoaP version of “MacArthur Park”? I admit this is a little weird–it uses the original lyrics and sometimes total replacements–but here it is:

Death was waiting for us, girl
It slithered just behind
As we ran, scared out of our minds.
Between the aisles and seats we went
Past the fevered, dying victims
The wounded and the spent.

This DC-10 is going dark
All the long, green snakes sliding down
Someone let a snake loose on a plane!
Oh, why’d they have to wake it?
I don’t think I can take it.
And my ankle’s just been bitten again
Oh, no!

I recall your yellow cotton dress
Covered in your blood
On the ground around your knees
The snakes on your legs and arms
And the old men who are glad it wasn’t bees

This DC-10 is going dark
All the long, green snakes sliding down
Someone let a snake loose on a plane!
Oh, why’d they have to wake it?
I don’t think I can take it.
And my ankle’s just been bitten again
Oh, no!

[break]

There will be another trip for me
For I will take it
There will be another flight for me
Someone will fly it
I will drink the antivenom while it is warm
And never let snakes catch me on the run
And after all the trips of my life
After all the trips of my life
The snakes ruined all my fun.

I will take snake life into my hands and I will use it
I will win the worship in snake eyes and I will lose it
I will have the things that I desire
And my blood flow like rivers through the sky
And after all the trips of my life
After all the trips of my life
I’ll be thinking of this one
And wondering why

[extended break]

This DC-10 is going dark
All the long, green snakes sliding down
Someone let a snake loose on a plane!
Oh, why’d they have to wake it?
I don’t think I can take it.
And my ankle’s just been bitten again
Oh, no!
Oh, no
No, no
Oh no!!

I saw someone used Nirvana for their SOAP song. Now they are much more creative than me…..so here’s my grunge SOAP song. It’s to Nirvana’s On A Plain. (With Sam Jackson playing Kurt Cobain of course)

This flight started off things going well
The plane got so high then i motherfuckin entered hell
I love my job, protecting for you
But snakes as a weapon is wrong, so what should i do?

The motherfuckin scariest day that i ever had
Was when these snakes got me so mutherfuckin mad

I love my job, protecting for you
But snakes as a weapon is wrong, so what should i do?

Snakes on a plane
Motherfuckin insane
Snakes on a plane

Thes snakes need to die mutherfuckin tonight
It’s safe to say “I’ll make motherfuckin sure of that”

I love my job, protecting for you
But snakes as a weapon is wrong, so what should i do?

The black man got attacked by snakes again
Forgot to use the anti-venom

I love my job, protecting for you
But snakes as a weapon is wrong, so what should i do?

Somewhere i have seen these snakes before
It was at the motherfuckin pet store
As a defense they should be neutered and spayed
So their kids don’t fuck with me some mother-fuckin day

It is now time to make them disappear
Give then no parachutes when I toss them off of here

I love my job protecting for you
But snakes as a weapon is wrong, so what should i do?

Snakes on a plane
Motherfuckin insane
Snakes on a plane
Motherfuckin insane
Snakes on a plane
Motherfuckin insane
Snakes on a plane
Motherfuckin insane
Snakes on a plane
Motherfuckin insane

I thought this contest was for unsigned artists? I guess the TagWorld voters were ignored completely and the contest was simply to secure publicity for the movie. Also, the rules asked for each band to submit “their best song” with no mention of “thematic” songs.

They certainly didn’t pick the best bands or the most played bands.

Hmm. Something isn’t passing the smell test here.

The Plane that Sam Built
(cover song of Metallica’s “The House that Jack Built”

Open doors so I walk inside
Close my eyes find my place to hide
I see snakes as I take it in
Let the film begin!

Open my eyes
Just to see snakes once again
Well on their way
on their way to where they graze
It swallows me
As they take me in their home
I twist away
as they kill this world

Open cargo so snakes may slide
Close my eyes find my place to hide
As Samuel Jackson loads his gun
Let the film begin

Open my eyes
Just to see Samuel shoot some snakes
Dont want control
As they take me down and down again
Is they the moon
Or just another mother f*cking snake?
Is that you there
Or just another snake that I meet?

The higher you walk
The farther you fall
The longer the walk
The farther you crawl
My body my temple
This temple it tells
step into the plane that sam built

The higher you walk
The farther you fall
The longer the walk
The fartther you crawl
My body my temple
This temple it tells
yes this is the plane that sam built.

Here’s my effort, sort of to the tune of Radiohead’s Street Spirit (Fade Out):

Putrid serpent
Beneath an aisle seat.
Slithering poison
At 30,000 feet.
Seeking unsuspecting hands
In which to sink its evil fangs.

Breach the cockpit
The pilot lies there dead.
Boa constrictor
Wrapped tightly round his head.
Crushed his skull with brutal force,
Now we’re flying way off course.

Snakes on a plane
They’ll throttle and maim.
Snakes on a plane
Gonna drive you insane.

Bleeding, screaming,
Passengers writhe in pain
Desperately sucking
The venom from their veins.
Listen to the children’s cries
As cobras spit into their eyes.

Frantic stewardess
Asks is a doctor in the house
But a great anaconda
Has swallowed him like a mouse.
Surrounded by cold-blooded dangers
But Samuel L Jackson’s gonna save us.

Snakes on a plane
Aerial reptile reign.
Sssnakes on a plane
Next time take the train.
